Hire Up Staffing & Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant interested in joining a recognized healthcare company located near downtown Houston.


Pay is $16-$17/hr.
Hours: M-F 9-6, every other Saturday 9-2:30 (end time varies on last patient)
Must have at least 2 years of back office experience.
Must be able to start right away.


Responsibilities

• Greet patients, schedule appointments, and answer phones in a pleasant manner
• Prepare examination rooms for patients before and in between visits
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts
• Insurance verifications, sending out prescriptions, obtaining prior authorizations, and referrals
• Prep sterile instruments, assist with procedures, administer medications, and complete medical testing
• Other duties as assigned
