Data Center Systems Administrator

Rumble is a high-growth video platform and cloud services provider that is creating an independent infrastructure. Our mission is to restore the internet to its roots by making it free and open once again.

What You Will Do

Rumble is seeking an experienced Data Center Systems Administrator responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of critical data center infrastructure. As a key member of the Data Center Services Team, you will:

• Build, configure, and deploy physical and virtual servers for various applications.
• Perform ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and health checks on servers.
• Develop and run scripts for streamlining and automation.
• Perform OS and security patching and upgrades.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor infrastructure-related tickets and respond within established SLAs.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation, processes, and procedures.
• Travel to data center locations as required to support operations.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with and building virtual machinebased solutions.
• 3+ years of hands-on Linux administration experience.
• 3+ years of overall server administration experience (hardware and OS).
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a high-performing team.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in documentation.
• Ability to think creatively and propose non-traditional or innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with open-source Linux software environments
• Experience with Proxmox or similar open-source virtual machine environments and containers.
• Working knowledge of installation and startup of open-source databases.
• Networking experience (switching, routing, or data center network fundamentals).
• Strong awareness of security and compliance best practices.
• Python scripting experience.
• Bash scripting experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Linux certification, CompTIA A+, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience with one or more programming languages.

Annual Compensation Range: $74,000-110,000 USD base + benefits + equity (If based in the United States) Note: The salary range listed for this position is a good faith estimate based on experience, qualifications, and internal compensation structure. The actual salary offered varies depending on the candidate's skill level and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time while using a computer and/or keyboard. Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including the use of computers.
