Job Title: Equipment Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to prepare shipping containers for rental use. These containers serve as storage and office spaces and require thorough cleaning, repairs, and finishing work. This is an outdoor position that involves physical labor and working in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize containers using hand tools and cleaning chemicals.
• Perform painting, sanding, and surface preparation.
• Replace wood flooring inside containers.
• Operate hand tools, leaf blowers, and other equipment.
• Safely climb ladders up to 20 feet for maintenance tasks.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Work outdoors in both hot and cold conditions, with work paused during thunderstorms/lightning.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Apply critical thinking to solve problems and complete tasks efficiently.

• Experience with hand tools and basic maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable with physical labor and climbing ladders.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to think critically and follow safety guidelines.

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Must have safety-toe shoes (6-inch lace-up).

Work Environment

This is an outdoor position requiring physical labor in various weather conditions. Employees are expected to wear safety-toe shoes and work is paused during thunderstorms/lightning to ensure safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
