Position Overview

We are in search of a skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to provide outstanding primary care services to underserved communities. In this role, you will manage patient care in collaboration with other clinical staff and members of the care team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive and high-quality primary care services to patients in various settings, including offices and hospitals.
  • Act as a consultant for clinical management regarding clinical objectives and services.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and care team members to manage patient care effectively.
  • Utilize industry knowledge and best practices to support the mission and vision of the Medical Department and the organization.
  • Contribute to culture development and management initiatives.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including an extended shift from Noon to 8:00 PM once a week, and a Saturday rotation every four weeks from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Job RequirementsQualifications:
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Practice.
  • Current and valid Illinois medical license.
  • Active DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate.
  • Eligibility for or maintenance of hospital privileges at affiliated hospitals.
  • Bilingual skills may be required based on departmental needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with patients and team members.
  • Comfortable working in a medical setting as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and document symptoms, reactions, and progress.
  • Understanding of legal and ethical standards in medical care delivery.
  • Familiarity with relevant medications and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids, including prescribing dosages and providing patient instructions.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Awareness of current principles and methods for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in your area of expertise.
  • Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.
  • Ability to manage conflict and confrontation effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently while seeking consultation when necessary.
  • Adherence to organizational and departmental processes and procedures.
  • Aptitude for thriving in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
