Job Title Farm Manager – Part-Time Location 5846 Jockey Street, Galway, NY Reports To Executive Director Job Summary The Farm Manager is responsible for the overall oversight/care of equine partners and farm property. This includes managing daily operations with AM/PM cleaning and care of horse feeding and loafing areas. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of natural living horse care and experience with farm work. Key Responsibilities Farm Operations: Use of farm equipment for feeding, pasture management and some snow removal. Horse Care: Feeding, watering, stall/shelter/field clean up, blanketing, fly protection, veterinary assistance when needed. Assisting with volunteer oversight. Equipment and Infrastructure Coordinate and/or perform routine maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery. Ensure the upkeep and safety of all farm infrastructure, including buildings, fences, and storage facilities. Able to identify and make sure necessary repairs/maintenance done. Qualifications Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in horse care and farm management. Provide resume and references. Able to work independently within the organization’s structure with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
