Job Description
As our Operational Technologist / Junior Systems Administrator, you'll be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our critical systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- System Management: Manage and maintain automation systems across various plants and distribution centers.
- Integration: Oversee the smooth integration of operational technology with our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve issues related to automation, ERP, and WMS systems, providing essential training and support to end-users.
- Optimization & Upgrades: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and efficiency, implementing necessary upgrades and enhancements to automation systems.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor system performance and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Innovation: Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends in operational technology and automation.
- Project Participation: Participate in planning and implementing projects related to system enhancements and expansions.
What You Bring
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is desired. Equivalent work experience will be strongly considered.
- Experience: Proven experience as a systems administrator or in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- OT Expertise: Expertise in managing automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and MES.
- ERP/WMS Proficiency: Proficiency in ERP and WMS systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar platforms.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Organization: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
- Certifications: Certifications in relevant technologies or systems administration (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Certified Automation Professional) are desirable.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to different plant locations as needed.
