We are seeking a Cardiology Physician Assistant for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity starts on Jan 2, 2026, and features 12-hour shifts with a mix of days and nights. Flexibility is essential, as scheduling will be determined by hospital needs to ensure optimal coverage.

Job Details

• Location: New York
• Start Date: Jan 2, 2026
• LOA: 10 days
• Provider Type Needed: Cardiology Physician Assistant
• Schedule: Two providers for 7am-7pm and two providers for 7pm-7am; 12-hour shifts, days and nights as assigned based on coverage gaps

Responsibilities and Duties

• Admit patients with cardiac and general medical issues, including preoperative and postoperative care
• Manage cardiology inpatients requiring advanced interventions
• Oversee patients on cardiac drips and ventilators
• Care for patients with PEG tubes, chest tubes, and central lines
• Read and interpret cardiac strips
• Administer moderate sedation and perform bedside procedures
• Manage patients with pacemakers
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing shift assignments and patient needs

Additional Information

• Active New York PA license required
• Board certification in Cardiology required
• Experience with cardiac drips, vents, PEG tubes, chest tubes, central lines, cardiac strips, moderate sedation, bedside procedures, and pacemakers is essential
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts as needed by the hospital
