The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring seasonal Recyclers to join our team at Yellowstone General Stores in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

This position plays a key role in supporting our Zero-Waste warehouse and recycling program by ensuring recyclable materials are properly sorted, contamination is minimized, and improvements are made when necessary. This position is for the 2026 Spring/Summer Season

Pay

$18.25 - $18.25 / hour

What will you do?

• Receive and sort recyclable materials to proper specifications in an efficient and safe manner

• Identify contamination in recycling streams and report findings to the Environmental Manager to support program improvements

• Properly and safely load trucks or containers for transport when required

• Maintain accurate records of contamination and recycling volumes as directed

• Occasionally collect, sort, and transport universal waste according to safety standards

• Assist with recycling receipt management throughout the season, and assist with tracking program data

• Conduct occasional recycling training at Delaware North locations in Yellowstone National Park and West Yellowstone, Montana

• Assist in improving recycling processes by providing feedback and recommendations

• May occasionally need to drive up to a few hours at a time

More about you

• Previous experience in recycling, waste management, or warehouse work is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to sustainability.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple locations.

• Good communication skills for reporting contamination, conducting training, and sharing program feedback

• Valid driver's license required

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, standing, and repetitive motions.

• Stand and walk for long periods of time.

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
