The XS Telecom team is looking for a best-in-class Senior Data Analyst , willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for the field!

The Senior Data Analyst will play a critical role in tracking the progress of fiber installations, ensuring accuracy, and driving efficiency with expertise in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel , to manage and analyze complex datasets for our fiber optic installation projects. 

What you will do…

• Develop, manage, and optimize complex spreadsheets in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel to track fiber optic installation progress


• Parse and organize massive one-liner datasets into detailed, structured spreadsheets, breaking down data by row, cabinet, device, and port


• Create metrics and dashboards to monitor fiber installers’ and testers’ performance, ensuring quality control and project progression


• Analyze data to provide actionable insights for project managers and installation teams


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with project goals


• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure error-free datasets and reports

What you will need to succeed…

• Expert-level proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, VBA, and data visualization)


• Proven ability to manage and manipulate large, complex datasets with precision


• Strong understanding of low voltage wiring, particularly fiber optic cables and their interconnection processes


• Ability to work 12-hour days, 7 days a week, with a commitment to meeting tight deadlines


• Passion for innovation and a genuine care for producing high-quality work


• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills


• Knowledge of networking principles and infrastructure (e.g., LAN/WAN, IP addressing, routing).


• Experience in telecommunications or fiber optic installation projects


• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Google Data Studio, Power BI) is a plus

The base pay range for this position is $50.00 to $65.00 per hour. Please note that the compensation range reflects the base pay only and does not include benefits, or bonuses this role may be eligible to receive. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by bona fide factors such as geographic work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
