SAIC has an immediate need for a BMC3 Systems Administrator Analyst with Linux full stack development experience. We are looking for an innovative and motivated individual at an SAIC facility in Huntsville, AL to help plan and execute testing, training, maintenance, and operate the BMC3 ground simulation test lab hardware. Candidates must have experience with executing, and testing software developmental programs in support of program management to meet customer milestones.
Oversee the execution of security measures called out in the security plan to include timely scans of network resources and software patches.
Provide effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of production Linux Servers in a VMWare Virtualized Environment.
Apply DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems.
Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources and log management of Linux and Windows Server systems.
Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This includes troubleshooting all issues with system configurations, backups, file systems, and user access.
Support Linux platforms hosting applications, operations and sustainment systems, and ACAS and other security tools.
Interface with engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts.
Troubleshoot hardware, networking, and software problems in a multi-node environment.
Ability to use automation software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment functionality.
Create and maintain software documentation and updates.
Work with a highly technical team to perform evaluation tests.
Support docker desktop containers and services such as Kubernetes.
Qualifications: Bachelor's and five (5) years or more experience; Master's and 2 years related experience.
Experience working in a Linux environment.
Experience in a Systems Administrator role with Windows.
Experience with current versions of Windows (e.g. Server 2019, 2022, Windows 10, 11 Enterprise).
Experience with Microsoft Server products.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
Experience working with Single Board Computers.
Experience with Gitlab Runners.
Applicant must have experience with the application of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to operating systems and network devices.
Dell PowerEdge under Windows Server configuration background.
RHEL 9 Security Compliance.
Knowledge of Cloud-to-On Prem. architecture.
Clearance: U.S. Citizen with Active TS security clearance.
Required Certification: CompTIA Security+ certification.
