The role offers a flexible work schedule and ongoing opportunities to provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings. Responsibilities Provide accurate oral interpretation between Spanish and English in medical, legal, and community settings. Assignments are based in Sacramento County and are available on a regular basis, depending on demand. Effectively communicate with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Meet the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders. Qualifications Fluency in both Spanish and English. Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings with the highest fidelity to the original communication. Strong oral interpretation skills in both directions. Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience. Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary. Possession of a valid California interpreter license.
