Summary of Position:

Brahmin Leather Works is seeking a Stitcher in our Factory. Under the direction of the Factory Supervisor this position is responsible for operating sewing machines to manufacture our leather goods.


Major Functions:

• Manufactures handbags by sewing leather pieces together with a sewing machine
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of the workshop and personal work area, including sewing machinery as necessary to keep work moving effectively
• Communicates with other team members concerning problems and possible solutions
• Working alongside other employees and maintaining a positive attitude
• Responsible for examining completed product before passing it along to the next station
• Operate all machinery assigned to within the safety guidelines established by the company and standard safe work practices
• Maintain a high level of quality
• Any other duties as required in support of the business

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma is preferred. Demonstrated experience in machine and hand sewing techniques. Proficient with sewing machine operation and detail oriented. Has the ability to follow precise directions in a timely manner.
