Overview LGBTQIA | TGX Business Leadership Coach — The Human Beauty Movement, in partnership with LACDMH Location: Los Angeles County (Hybrid: virtual workshops + occasional in-person sessions) Commitment: Contract role, 12-week program Organization: The Human Beauty Movement, for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) – Underserved Cultural Communities (UsCC) Unit About the Role The Human Beauty Movement, on behalf of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, is seeking an experienced LGBTQIA | TGX Business Leadership Coach to design and deliver a 12-week economic empowerment program for transgender, nonbinary, and gender expansive (TGX) entrepreneurs. This coach will lead workshops, mentor participants, and foster connections that empower TGX business owners to thrive—professionally, personally, and within their communities. What You\'ll Do Develop & Facilitate Workshops: Deliver a trauma-informed 12-week series (2+ hours per session) covering leadership, branding, business growth, confidence-building, resilience, and mindfulness. Mentorship & Coaching: Provide individualized coaching to TGX participants (ages 26–64) as they build or redefine their businesses. Community Connection: Introduce participants to community leaders, small business owners, and aligned partners to expand opportunities. Mental Health Integration: Normalize conversations around mental health, reduce stigma, and connect participants to culturally competent resources. Program Delivery: Lead workshops, manage attendance, support accessibility needs, and create a safe, affirming space for TGX entrepreneurs. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in community engagement, leadership development, business coaching, or mental health-related services within LGBTQIA2-S communities. Lived TGX experience and/or demonstrated knowledge of TGX community needs, barriers, and strengths. Experience with trauma-informed facilitation and culturally responsive coaching. Strong organizational skills: able to manage workshop design, participant tracking, and reporting. Ability to work across diverse communities Excellent communication, presenting, facilitation, and mentoring skills Mental health license or certification Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and remotely Why This Matters TGX individuals often face barriers in the workplace due to systemic discrimination.
