Position Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all daily operations in the warehouse. This position is also responsible for supervision of team activities, developing each individual team member, providing instruction and assistance to team members, and promoting the overall good of the team. This position requires a strong ability to both organize and complete assigned tasks in a timely basis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to be creative and resourceful

Responsibilities:

1. Supervises the warehouse team members by coaching, directing, counseling, teaching, training, and evaluating each of the team members.
2. Supervises warehouse operations to insure that receiving, stocking, shipping, maintenance, and safety procedures are adhered to on a daily basis.
3. Responsible for communicating warehouse daily inventory movement information to appropriate departments by use of paperwork and/or electronic means
4. Responsible for maintaining the shipping/receiving log.
5. Manage the open command functions in the Warehouse Management System by ensuring all commands are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
6. Responsible for auditing the activities of the warehouse team by use of the WMS reports.
7. Encourages and inspires a spirit of teamwork through positive communication and examples.
8. Provide reports as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
9. Completes special projects as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Skills and Abilities

1. Ability to read and write English.
2. Adequate mathematics skills.
3. Knowledge of:

• Warehouse documents and terminology
• Shipping and Receiving procedures
• Material handling equipment
• Warehouse Management System and procedures utilizing RF handheld devices preferred.

Required Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Three years supervisory experience in a production, distribution, or logistics environment.
3. Six years of warehouse/distribution experience.
